CODA — Story of a Scene | Apple TV+

A heartwarming coming-of-age tale about a young girl who can sing, but is also a Child of Deaf Parents. A brilliant argument for inclusiveness, both in storytelling and in life. Highly recommended.

Inside Llewyn Davis – Official Trailer [HD]

Directed by Joel & Ethan Coen If at any point in your life you have liked cats or Marcus Mumford, this movie is for you. Great music and great story. Possibly my favorite by the Coen brothers.

Marry Me – Official Trailer [HD]

The desire to be loved and feel loved is one that is inherent to human existence. While there is no magic formula to finding that perfect match one important ingredient is “risk.” Whether meeting someone at a friend’s party, swiping right on a dating app, or rekindling a fire with an ex, one must be […]

JAGGED: clear-eyed, but not that angry after all

Jagged is a surprisingly addictive biodoc of singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, packed with Morissette’s own reflections. Jagged traces Morissette’s beginnings as a child prodigy and teen pop princess (big hair and all) to the point where she matured into an innovative songwriter and groundbreaking stadium act. The […]

Apple TV + hasn’t exactly established itself as the go-to place for new movies; Ted Lasso is probably the biggest draw to date. But they certainly made a splash paying $25 million at Sundance for CODA, writer and director Sian Heder’s slight but utterly charming film about a fishing family living with deafness. CODA is […]

Velvet Underground Documentary

Todd Haynes is not a joker. He took the task of creating the perhaps definitive Velvet Underground documentary very seriously. “The Velvet Underground”, is a sparsely titled, restrained, bleak, avant guarde mirror reflecting the velvet evolution: the conception, birth, life and death of the most important band that ever was. It is 180 minutes of […]

This Is Spinal Tap Still Stands Eighteen Inches Tall

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Note : 8.5 sur 10. The cultural zeitgeist of mockumentaries (or ‘rockumentaries’, if you will), a film doesn’t simply get credited with that title without some of the greatest jokes ever to be told. I don’t think I need to say anymore. But I will, because this would a very boring review if I didn’t. This […]

The struggle against the government. So as you can probably guess, this is about Billie Holiday (Andra Day). The feds don’t like her singing her song “Strange Fruit” since it’s about lynching. Picture it: 1950s Harlem. A young man is walking by a record store. Through the window he spots a beautiful young woman behind the cash register, visibly enjoying an episode of I Love Lucy. Something urges him inside – he grabs the Help Wanted sign out of the window just to have something to say. […]

Coraci: The Wedding Singer (1998)

After perfecting his comic persona in Billy Madison, and relaxing it slightly in Happy Gilmore, Adam Sandler experimented with dissociating its two component parts in his next two films. Where he regressed even further into toddler tantrums with The Waterboy, he explored his sentimental side in The Wedding Singer, which remains his only really viable […]

Rahatsız Ediciliğin Doruk Noktası: Climax

Read Time:18 Second

Sinema izleyicisine karşı takınılması gerektiği tavır sinema tarihi boyunca tartışma konusu olmuştur. Film, izleyicisine ne tür bir deneyim sunmalıdır? Onu mutlu mu, yoksa mutsuz mu etmelidir?
